On March 18, the SEC approved Nasdaq's plan to let certain securities trade in tokenized form alongside traditional shares, with the same tickers, prices, and investor rights.

The two agencies signed a Memorandum of Understanding creating a Joint Harmonization Initiative covering product definitions, clearing and margin frameworks, and fit-for-purpose regulation.
